The American Red Cross is sponsoring a local babysitter course. This workshop is designed to teach you how to supervise young children. The course includes teaching how to feed babies, prepare food for young children, how to dress infants and put on diapers, how to select safe toys to play with, how to prevent accidents, how to respond to emergencies, job interview tips, basic first aid and basic CPR. This camp offers comprehensive pitching instruction and an arm care/strengthening program. Video analysis and conference with the athlete and the parent is done at the onset of the camp and at the conclusion of the camp to establish goals and objectives. The camp's focus is to develop integrated pitching mechanics and a healthy throwing arm, to increase pitch velocity, to refine pitch command, and to develop off-speed pitches. Activities inlcude dynamic functional warm-up, age specific pitching instruction and throwing drills, arm maintenance training, and bullpen throwing sessions. For older athletes, medicine balls are used to develop a strong, healthy arm while reinforcing proper throwing mechanics.
